These Ode sunglasses from Louis Vuitton have oversized rounded acetate frames. The sunglasses support arms that have intricate gold metal detailing with a few colored crystals and also a signature monogram flowers. The Nanowire : It is magical
I don’t remember reading about any of these elements, Plutonite or Unobtanium, in my Chemistry Class. However, I do know that this is a stunning piece of eye-wear. When you hear its name ‘Nanowire’ for the first time, you would conjure up images of some device used in a secluded laboratory in the Nevada desert. But, this has no such complications to it. It is just a plain old pair of sunglasses with some extraordinary properties. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had imagined ‘X-Ray’ abilities when I said extraordinary properties. Wink!! Jokes apart, this pair of polarized sunglasses can take any bending or any strain and yet retain its original shape. Now, that’s one ‘most-wanted’ feature in sunglasses. I am yet to get over the pain of losing my $500 Oakley’s, a victim of heavy-weight syndrome. My fat friend just doesn’t seem to know ‘what lies beneath’. The lens of this shade is made of Plutonite (sounds dangerous to me!). This material, apparently, filters out 100% of ultraviolet rays up to 400nm. The frames are made of ‘Unobtanium’, the secret behind the glasses’ magical properties. Additionally, the ‘hydrophobic’ lens coating ensures that you won’t have to bother wiping off water from the lenses, when it rains. The dirt cloth, too, can be dismissed ‘coz the lens repel slime and dust, too. Psst! I have just got to know that the weird names are inventions of the company. Some marketing gimmick, they say! They would need all these since the glasses are not too easy on the pocket at $300. Now, I say, they should have added rose colored glasses to blind-out the color of the dollar notes.

Now, she has come up with a line of shades for 2007 called ‘Vote for Karen Walker’. The name may sound out of place but the shades are just right for this season. The range is large; it has 33 designs to offer. Fun, funk, colors, are the tags I can give to this line. However, the designs can’t be worn on a serious call but will work for you from a beach to a movie. The colors are sharp and you may take time while picking these. But remember, the neon colors are in this season, so you have a reason to get one of these. The frames are large, however, not too big, which is another reason making them a must have. The only thing I didn’t understand is why the models in the pictures are crying or is that sweat. Well, whatever it is, I would like to be enlightened on this very fact. Anyone?
